Fell in love with the new Madewell x Le Minor shirts after getting the JCrew e-mail last week. I really like the boxy cut and thick, non-stretchy cotton. The problem is that all of the shirts are different, and it seems like very few are as extreme in color gradation as the ads would have you believe. I'm crossing my fingers that they'll restock the pink one.

  1. I like the color gradation, but I would be disappointed if they aren't as evident too.

  2. these remind me of some of the CdG sailor stripe shirts - classic but just a little punk too :)

  3. Odd comment (?) but I really like the first picture!

I like how the marine ecru turned out, and I really really like the marine rouge one (is that what you meant by pink?). The two on the right are a little disappointing, though.

  4. They sold out online of some of the most popular colors right away, including the pink and green, so they're not visible there at all. But even the green one (above) isn't that extreme!

And believe it or not, the middle shirt above IS the marine rouge. They're all different, but I ordered several marine rouge colors from online and the Culver City store, and they're all like that in person. Only lightly faded at the top.

  5. how is the sizing?

  6. About the sizing, I'd say they have a boxy, loose fit. I wear a L in Madewell's house pieces, which I think run really small, and I got a M in these shirts. The fabric and drape is similar to Saint James's Meredien II.
