moleskine volant

These came in the mail from Taiwan. I love the color gradation theme.

  1. wait, so did you just receive a random notebook for no particular reason? Or did you buy this in Taiwan? I don't understand...

  2. Seconding the above question. For what it's worth, they sell those in the US now (as well?).

  4. Much simpler than you think (and exactly what I wrote)! It was a random gift, and from someone I know in Taiwan. So I didn't purchase them anywhere.

  5. hmm, do random people send you gifts often? (or normal people send random gifts...)

  6. Only sometimes. I like it when people think of me, but receiving gifts, even on holidays, can be tricky because more stuff != more utility for me in general... in fact, rather the opposite.

But he figured I would like this because it's a bit design-y. I think it was intended to be a Valentine's Day thing.

  7. I thought it might have been kind of a valentine's thing! What do you think about that?

  8. I think it's disassociated from Valentine's day enough to be unimportant in that sense. He's just my friend and I'm comfortable enough to just accept without feeling compelled to reciprocate. I think I'd enjoy the gift a lot less if that weren't the case!
