Only sometimes. I like it when people think of me, but receiving gifts, even on holidays, can be tricky because more stuff != more utility for me in general... in fact, rather the opposite.
But he figured I would like this because it's a bit design-y. I think it was intended to be a Valentine's Day thing.
I think it's disassociated from Valentine's day enough to be unimportant in that sense. He's just my friend and I'm comfortable enough to just accept without feeling compelled to reciprocate. I think I'd enjoy the gift a lot less if that weren't the case!

ReplyDeleteMuch simpler than you think (and exactly what I wrote)! It was a random gift, and from someone I know in Taiwan. So I didn't purchase them anywhere.
