  2. your toms are so colorful! i love how comfy they are, but NYC sidewalks have killed more than one pair after only a week. i wish they'd make them in leather.

  4. Darn you and your flickr's limits on size. What is that wood-like thing in the last picture? Is it actually from CMOG?

  5. Ruby: There's a lady at the farmers' market who sells really beautiful cutting boards made from different woods, and she has a large selection of scraps that she sells for just a few bucks. It's just a a little block of wood like the other one I have with the red net stretched around it.

Miss Sophie: Yeah, the Toms soles wear out much faster than the tops. I guess it would be crazy to have these guys soled. I read that The Row (or maybe just the Olsen twins) is collaborating with Toms to make cashmere pairs -- at cashmere prices!

  6. oh, for some reason i've always had problems where the back heels of my toms got holes after a few wears. the soles actually have not been an issue. i wonder if it's just the way i walk :P

  7. Happy anniversary!! Nice, fun shoes. Mine feel so vanilla in comparison. I have navy Toms and tan Salt Waters. Also, great blog! I saw the Toms X The Row shoes. Beautiful but there's no way I could justify paying so much for a pair of Toms!

  8. Austere: Thanks for your kind compliment. I think the Salt Waters are a great value.
