Sometimes I think Karl Lagerfeld is an embodiment of the worst of fashion, people cultivating bizarre personalities and saying outrageous things as some form of "fashion insider exceptionalism." Maybe that's just who creative people are, or maybe that's what it takes to be well known as an important creative person. I googled the phrase "fashion insider exceptionalism" and you're the first person on the internet to say it! I'm impressed, that's a great phrase. I'm totally going to use it someday.
