comme des garcons f09

It takes me a long time to warm to new visual things, but one thing I don't think I'll ever understand is avante garde runway fashion. It's just too weird for me, in part because I find it hard to divorce fashion, even high fashion, from "things that a person would wear more than once." But Comme des Garcons is always worth a look, and Rei Kawakubo does something odd yet likable this time, even for decidedly uncool people: homespun-looking blankets hanging out of army jackets.
